Pataleshwar Cave Temple, Pune

Pataleshwar Cave Temple is an ancient rock-cut Hindu temple located in the heart of Pune, Maharashtra. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and dates back to the 8th century, during the Rashtrakuta dynasty. According to Hindu belief, the temple is associated with Patal, the underworld, which is why it is named Pataleshwar.
